Our Aims and Objectives
The Irish Multiple Myeloma Society is focused on enhancing the care and outcomes for multiple myeloma patients in Ireland through excellence in clinical practice, research, advocacy, collaboration and innovative use of data.

The society aims to develop a coordinated, evidence-based approach to diagnosing and managing multiple myeloma, by bringing together experts to guide best practices on the island of Ireland. One of its core objectives is to create an Irish Multiple Myeloma Registry and Biobank to facilitate comprehensive data collection, research, and understanding of patient needs throughout the disease continuum. The society is also committed to positioning Ireland as a hub for clinical trials by building strong partnerships with international colleagues and developing translational research with the aim of providing the most effective and innovative treatment to myeloma patients in Ireland.

Furthermore, advocacy is a key focus, with efforts dedicated to raising public awareness, influencing healthcare policies, and ensuring that the voices of multiple myeloma patients are heard and prioritised at all levels
